today’s lesson is taking a film with comparation (before and after) , example, when we are shooting, we must pick one position that suitable and pick one building and come 3 or 6 month later, and then just shoot at the difference, and we can see the process.
And when we are coming to the new place without any clear order, we should remain calm and find our way out of the situation by ourselves.
Just do the best and always clearly find out the information from the coordinator, like goes to the place where the journalist are and find the information about the place.
Also find out why, what , where and how we want to send the news, by tape or send by satellite or FTP, also try to send it on time, because Taiwan Time is one hour faster than Indonesia.
And after that Dylan show us the movie called “live from Baghdad”, it’s a movie about CNN that covers Gulf war between America and Irak, and the coverage that makes CNN so famous until now
After watching the movie, I decided to wrote a conclusion myself that if we have to go to the place that we don’t know
we should :
1. clearly knows the situation, and always found out the information
2. choose partner to cooperate with u (man power) and team work
3. knowing the Map (to recognising the place more and imagine the place from above)
4. know where u live in that place also the person that can help u, if u don’t find one and the matter is language, pick up the local people to translate
and contact the ambassador to make them know you are there or just buy your traveller guide.
5. have enough fund in case of emergency
6. knowing and plan your equipment well
7. on time (always)
8. Focus, have passion and patience for the subject you want to interview with
9. use good word in script so that people understand, add a little literature terms in the script, and plan what you wanna ask
10. control your emotion and knowing what to do next if things getting worse.
11. always prepare everything (man, equipment, what to do, etc)
12. use a good communication and patience when negotiate, so you will get what you want
13. control the working flowchart so that u can be sure that your work is just as you want to.
